Tonight the kids went out and had a very fun evening of trick or treating. We have such wonderful neighbors who spoil my kids with everything from fruit snacks to little toys to large size candy bars (I guess they're spoiling Keith and I.) Caleb was quite the trooper and went door to door. Alanna....she was a bit more hesitant. She was easily scared by all of the masks and costumes around her. They lasted over an hour with a few "warm up" breaks. Once they were finished, they LOVED handing out the candy to trick or treaters.
Last weekend we ventured out to a family orchard/pumpkin patch. This place had a large climby thing made out of hay, animals to pet, a chute to slide down, "cow" barrels to ride and lots of apples to eat. It was a beautiful fall day in Michigan.
In Preschool Caleb learned about different animals of Africa. As a field trip, they visited a "farm" that had these various animals. The family owns 40 acres of land and on this land they have zebras, wildebeests, onyx and other large animals that I can't remember the names of. It was really cool to see such exotic animals. Caleb loved feeding the ring tailed lemurs and petting the baby ostrich.
Caleb's class went to Robinette's Apple Orchard. We got to ride in a wagon, learn about apples, pick an apple and eat a yummy donut with cider. Caleb's favorite part? The donut!
Here is Caleb on his first day of Preschool at Dutton Christian. He is loving it. On the first day, all of the kids brought a different food to make a "Friendship Mix." The picture shows Caleb dumping his fish crackers in as his friend, Anna, watches.
He's getting mobile....very quickly. This picture was taken early September. As of early October, he is now doing the "army man" crawl. So, he can definitely get from one spot to another.
